FOOD DISTRIBUTION

Food Donation Organization

World hunger is a constant crisis reaching all corners of the world and, unfortunately, there does not seem to be a resolution in site. Since the start of our charity organization in 1990, we’ve been providing Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday meals to widows and poor families in remote villages of Pakistan. With the recent outbreak of the novel coronavirus, millions of individuals around the world have been negatively impacted. With the realization that some people can no longer afford to put food on the table to feed their family, DSEAP International has expanded our food donation organization program.  As part of our expanded food distribution program, we’re now offering food, toiletry and monetary donations to ensure struggling families can put food on their table.

Food Distribution Program

DSEAP International offers several different food distribution program options. In some instances our volunteers will donate food directly to a food bank who will distribute it as they see fit. Other times, the organization will purchase and put together bags of food for families containing staple items & essentials such as tea, sugar, salt, wheat flour, lentils, split peas, rice, cooking oils, soap and toothbrushes. The bags are valued at about $30 to $40 per family. For the widows, we prepare and serve Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners every year, as well as provide money to supplement their income and ensure they can regularly purchase food and essential items.

Local Holiday Dinner Food Donation Program

A large part of our organization and volunteer efforts are focused on feeding hungry widows and children in Pakistan and other impoverished countries. However, we also do our part to feed those in need right in our own backyard. In 2019, DSEAP International hosted a Thanksgiving dinner in Allentown, PA. Through food donations, the dinner fed 250 homeless and deserving families. Similarly, on Christmas the same year the organization worked with Allentown H.O.P.E Community Church. We used their space to host and feed 250 people who had nowhere to spend the holiday.
